Do you desire to glorify God through the way you farm? Are you tired of reading books on farming and food production that ignore God as Creator? Have you ever wondered what agriculture would look like if it was based on the Bible instead of on evolution, Mother Nature, or the latest manipulations of life by science?

In Born-Again Dirt, Noah Sanders encourages Christian farmers to evaluate their farming methods in light of Scripture. This book looks at various Biblical principles related to agriculture and provides examples of practical application. Topics covered include:

  • Designing farms as beautiful, fruitful homes.
  • Honoring God’s design in farm production
  • Growing crops that honor the Lord
  • Marketing as ministry
  • The idolatry of modern agriculture
  • Advantages of the farming lifestyle
  • Starting a farm and making a living

Without claiming to have all the answers, Born-Again Dirt seeks to inspire you to develop a vision for God-glorifying agriculture. This book is a must read for any Christian who is a full time farmer, backyard gardener, or for anyone who desires a more Biblical view of agriculture.

As a fellow farmer and Christian, I highly recommend this book. Though God has graciously given us dominion over this earth, we are also given the responsibility of good stewardship. The way we approach farming and tending the garden God has given us should be representative of the gospel and Christ’s love for the Church.

I almost hate to state it, but it’s true that this is a very down-to-earth book. Born-Again Dirt is good reading regardless of the sphere of your work, being that biblical principles do not change when applied across all areas of life.
I loaned my copy to a local Christian family just getting started as farmers with an ambitious sized plot and no tractor, though the tractor would come later. Not hearing from them for a long time, I assumed the book was forgotten and unread. Finally I received it back through a third party. Not only had it been read, as evidenced from the much turned and damaged pages, it was dirty! I had to assume they applied the author’s suggestions about soil directly to the book, or at least that the whole family read it in the field. I have never been happier to receive back a book nearly ruined.
I’m sure Born-Again Dirt will bear much fruit. Even for non-farmers, it is a good study on stewardship.

An enjoyable and useful book. Whether you are a farmer or a gardener with a quarter acre it puts any agricultural activity in the context of God’s Word and the dominion activities that He has given to us. Whatever aspect of agriculture you are interested in is likely covered by this thoughtful book. A joy to read, and a good book to keep on your shelf as a reference.

Noah is a remarkable young man. He pursued a calling to glorify the Lord through agriculture, and God has used him mightily to advance the cause of Christ in that realm. This book is the best primer available on a biblical approach to agriculture, from a high level all the way down to nuts and bolts, and gives the reader much to ponder and reconsider in thinking about how God wants us to steward His creation, and how we can pursue an agrarian calling in a biblical manner.

Noah has become an expert farmer and teaches people around the world how to use simply methods and the right mindset to do much with little and be fruitful with what God has given each of us. I was honored to be able to interview him for my film Beyond Off Grid, and have Noah be a featured instructor at our 3 day Summit homesteading training event. You can learn more about Noah on his expert page at Beyond Off Grid.
